The Upcoming Hyundai Veloster Redesign Will Bring More Power to Cleveland

Cleveland's favorite hatchback, the Hyundai Veloster, is getting its inaugural redesign. Keeping the three-door design that sets it above the competition, the upcoming Veloster is ready to take on the Cleveland roads with a more aggressive look, and more juice under the hood.

Updated Hyundai Veloster Design

While the redesigned Veloster isn't getting a brand new platform, it is getting an updated one. That means it'll be lighter and more spacious, thanks to a wider wheel base and longer body. It'll feature a more aerodynamic body, a sportier hatch, and most likely redesigned grille, bumper, headlights, and taillights.

Updated Hyundai Veloster Performance

The base model of the redesigned Veloster is most likely to feature the same engine specs as before, but the fun comes in the form of a new high-performance model. The Veloster N will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that'll produce up to 246 horsepower.

If that's not enough power for you, Hyundai is planning to release a track version of the Veloster N which will boost that number up to 271 horsepower. Also featured on the Veloster N will be a limited-slip differential, adjustable dampers, driving modes selector with track setting, and bigger wheels and brakes for an improved handling experience.

The redesigned Hyundai Veloster will most likely make its debut in 2018, and will be a part of the 2019 model year lineup.
